Collections...

My youngest has a thing for soccer cards - the interest came suddenly but now it´s all he talks about. When he doesn´t talk about it, he counts them, arranges them in his album or trade them with friends.

I like it.

It reminds me of all the little collections I had while growing up; stamps, cute erasers, pretty bookmarks, stationery, shiny candy paper...

Those were fun times you know? It was something so fulfilling with the arranging and sorting - like I was in possession of the greatest wealth. It all comes back to me when I hear my son shout: "Mom! I have 123 soccer cards - 123!"

Reminiscence - one of the best perks about being a mama.

Oh yes! My daughter isn't really into collecting yet, but she's mad into colouring and drawing, just like I was at her age (and still am!!!). It's kind of fun doing connect the dots and colouring in again, rather than having to do "good" art

Alla sparar vi på något, i alla åldrar tror jag. Själv har jag en fantastisk förmåga att komma hem med skålar, jag vet inte riktigt varför, men jag gillar skålar : )

Yes, it is fun to watch how animated children become when they are into collecting. My grandson is into collecting hockey cards. He plays on a hockey team. So sweet to watch him sort and arrange his cards!

Yes it was fun and still is :) I had a big pile of napkins when I was a girl. Now my oldest has it. I collect vintage coffee cups today :)

I still collect napkins ;) got about 400 of them, but they're back in Romania.. I'll probably bring them to Finland when I can, start reorganizing them and all ;)

It is fun collecting things!

We went to my husband's boss's house and he collects miniature replica buildings that he has visited from all over the world.

They sit in a row on a shelf. Very clean and modern looking. A nice reminder of his travels.

Ja, tänk att saker går igen. Filmstjärnekort, fotbollskort, bokmärken. det ska samlas och bytas, det hör barndomen till!

I know that! Some time ago, my daughter collected the cartoon cards. And she spent her time watching them, count them ... I don't know when it will start again :)

Wow, 123 that's amazing. Us, we're huge tennis fans, we're all very excited right now for the Australian Open. We watched a bit of the match with Murry tonight. This means nothing to you if you don't follow tennis. :) Even though we're American we are rooting for Murry, the Scot. Great picture, as always! Take care,
Shauna

Ja det är härliga minnen. Bokmärken, filmisar frimärken och så mycket mer som man samlade på när man var ett barn.

Ha en fin dag Tina

I think it's great for children to have collections - I came across my stamp collection recently when sorting through some old boxes!
