When it´s like that, I can easily eat several a day (have you ever had it sliced on a piece of bread, with a little salt on? De-li-cious!) and jealously pouts if my hubby tries to take a little bit of one.
Because it´s mine I tell you - all mine!
He ain´t even starving or anything. Because then he might be excused.
And few things makes me so disappointed as when I come home from the store with an avocado that looks beautiful - just to discover that it´s all weird, woody and ugly inside.Such moments makes me wanna sue someone.
Oh well, that´s about all I had to say about that.

Ha. To be honest I have never eaten avocado before, but after reading this I might want to try it. I love Guacamole though, does that count?

I love avocados especially when they are whipped up in a quacamole dip. Y~U~M~M~Y. I have to say, I agree with you on the texture. If it isn't smooth and creamy they can be just as you describe...weird, woody and ugly! LOL
Här hemma är vi storkonsumenter av guacamole, mannen är expert på att få till den riktigt bra. Och funkar till mycket, men inte riktigt till pastan vi nu ska äta... :-)

only my youngest and me like them, we don't slice them, we put a little bit of salt and some vinegar in the middle and use a spoon ! yummy !

We love avocado here. It's one of my favorite foods to give to the babies. They're so good for you, the avocado that is. :) I hear you on the disappointment when you find your avocado to be "woody and ugly" inside. Take care!

I helgen köpte vi så fina avocados, som visade sig vara stenhårda inuti. Man ska köpa i lösvikt, aldrig i nät är min erfarenhet!

hehe, här i Sverige är väldigt svårt att hitta den perfekta avokadon. Har faktiskt aldrig tänkt på det tills jag smakade de i Spanien, mogna och otroligt goda.

I have the worst luck buying avocados! I always seem to find crappy ones.
I love avocado - but if it gets too mushy I cannot eat it - yucky - just like mushy banana - but when they are like these beauties - yummers:)
