I do enjoy clothes and I have quite a lot of them hanging around in the closet - but so far they´ve been hanging on whatever hanger I happened to get from the store I bought them in.
Because those hangers were free. And - well, again; they were free. Sometimes I can be a cheapskate with the small things.
A while ago however, I noticed IKEA sold great hangers for little money. I´m sure they have done so for ages but I guess I wasn´t looking - but now I´ve replaced a lot of the old ones with white and shiny ones:
I have to buy more, but such a difference it made! Suddenly my wardrobe looks much neater and nicer like it belongs to a grown woman. It only took me 38.5 years to get this far, pretty amazing. I have officially entered the land of Wardrobe Happiness and feel like holding hands and singing Kumbaya.

Not long ago I also replaced all of my old and ratty hangers with one kind and it does make a great difference! I even went so far as to place the hangers with the clothes on them all going in one direction (I learned this from an infomercial on "if you have a fire and all hangers are going in the same direction you can grab them much more quickly LOL) AANNDD as if that wasn't enough, I arranged them by color making it even easier to select a color.
I know, I know, I'm weird but if you're going to do it do it right! LOL LOL The words are according to my Grandma!
Det är mycket snyggare så där! Jag gjorde samma sak, var inom Ikea, den enda nackdelen är att det får plats med mindre plagg...Dagens i-landsproblem! Hahaha!

I should do this! I noticed Ikea had a great sale on coat hangers the other day. We're going this afternoon to look at couches!
apart from the hangers (mine IKEA too, but in brown), I decided to organize the clothes by colors :D work still in process..

Så fint det blev! Jag hade udda galgar i garderoben tills jag fick tag i många likadana från en upphörd butik.

Klart man måste ha snygga hängare! Ja det tog mig ett bra tag att inse det också. Visst hade vi några bra för jag verkligen inte gillar dem man får här i Oz om man överhuvudtaget får galgar så är det ofta på kemtvätten...och där är jag inte ofta!
Men i nya huset har vi Walk in Wardrobe så då syns det så mycket när det inte är snyggt och organiserat. Jag är nästan där, behöver några fler hängare först sedan kanske jag visar upp min garderob också ;)

I have so many things that need to be organized in our house that I sometimes feel discouraged...but you are right that a small change can be a big change. Something lovely about matching hangers. (We are very lucky to have an Ikea closeby. I try not to go too often as there is always something interesting to buy.)
I was reading your post and thinking that it fits the day I'll have tomorrow ond my next week...
well, actually, I WON'T fix my wardrobe, although I should... Is just that I work in an international moving company and I'm supposed to find out (by asking people) if they would pay for a special service that would pack their clothes, shoes and bags with special material and then, at the delivery, would place everything carefully in a closet... loool
What do you think?
Maybe they could also find wardrobe happiness and sing Kumbaya... lol :o)
